No — and it never will. LAILOLA never connects to LINE's servers and never asks you to log in to anything. It reads the iPhone backup that you personally select.

No. Parsing, search, and export of your chats, photos, contacts, and attachments all happen on your own Mac, and none of it is sent to LAILOLA or to the ad service. The app uses the network in only four situations, none of which involve your chat content: showing free-tier ads, loading LINE's public sticker images, App Store purchases and restores, and feedback or diagnostics that you explicitly choose to submit. You can also browse and search your backup offline; stickers and purchases are unavailable offline, and everything else works.

No. LAILOLA reads your backup strictly read-only. It never rewrites, moves, or deletes any original file. Your backup is bit-for-bit identical before and after.

Because profile pictures were never in your iPhone backup to begin with. LINE stores them in the iPhone's cache area, and Apple's backup system excludes caches by design — neither LINE nor LAILOLA can change that.

The backup only contains the picture URLs. Fetching the actual images would require connecting to LINE's servers with your account — which breaks our promise to never touch your LINE account. So we show name initials instead, and tell you exactly why. Every tool on the market faces this same wall; claims of offline avatar recovery are not accurate.

LINE's full-size photos expire. If a photo was never opened before it expired, only the thumbnail remains on the phone. The backup records this faithfully: where the original exists, LAILOLA gives you the original; where only a thumbnail remains, it is clearly labeled "LINE thumbnail (original not retained)" — no pretending.

No — the two categories never overlap. Every photo has exactly one identity in LAILOLA: if a verifiable original exists in your backup, it is classified as an original; only when the original is truly gone and just the LINE thumbnail remains is it classified as a thumbnail. Originals plus thumbnails equals the total photo count exactly — nothing counted twice.

Technically, the phone often stores both a full image and a small thumbnail for the same photo, but LAILOLA always shows you the best version available and counts it once. "Original / thumbnail" is an honest quality label, not two overlapping folders.

One condition: they still existed on the phone when the backup was made. Files that LINE shows as "expired" often still physically remain in the phone's storage — LINE just stops showing them. In that case, they are in your backup, and LAILOLA can find them and save them for good.

Conversely, content that was already gone when the backup was made cannot be conjured back — and we will never promise otherwise.

LAILOLA only shows records that actually exist in the backup database. What remains is shown honestly; what no longer exists cannot be restored.

A Mac, and an iPhone backup (back up your iPhone to this Mac with Finder, or use an existing backup). Then select that backup in LAILOLA yourself — without your action, LAILOLA reads nothing.

No. LINE data is identical in encrypted and unencrypted backups. A word of caution: if an encrypted backup's password is lost, not even Apple can unlock it — so a standard backup is fine unless you have other reasons.

That's iOS security by design: every app's data is sealed inside its own sandbox, unreachable by any external program. The backup is Apple's one official, complete data export — so that is the legitimate and safest path LAILOLA takes.
